Troubleshooting
If the sidebar does not appear
- Refresh the ChatGPT tab after installing or updating the extension.
- Confirm the extension is enabled at
chrome://extensions. - Open the extension from Chrome's toolbar and try again.
- If ChatGPT recently changed its website, check the issue tracker for a compatibility update.
Local data
Protect your organization data
Folders, mappings, preferences, and the search index live in your Chrome profile. Do not uninstall the extension or clear its extension data unless you accept that this local information may be permanently lost.
